Orange County Health Fair and Expo 2011 Launched by I-5 Self Storage and Tustin Chamber of Commerce at No Cost to Community – a Smashing Success

The recently formed Health Fair and Expo Committee worked together with the Tustin Chamber of Commerce and the I-5 Self Storage facility in Tustin, CA, to create a wonderful community event promoting health and wellness. Live entertainment and dining added to the festive event which drew over 300 attendees.

Thirty-three (33) community organizations and businesses came together this Fall to participate in this inaugural event hosted at the spacious and clean I-5 Self Storage Facility located conveniently just off the I-5 Freeway near Jamboree. Live performances, demonstrations, and a wide variety of free health screenings drew local citizens eager to learn more about their own health and wellness.

St. Joseph’s Hospital, CHOC Hospital, HOAG Urgent Care, Senior Health Screening Service, and Doctor’s Ambulance were just a handful of the medical industry providers that set up display booths staffed with helpful crews to provide information.

Dreamworks Dental, Magic Touch Home Care, Total Woman Gym & Spa, Walker Therapy, Tustin Bodyworks, Extreme Boot Camp, Birth Choice Clinic, and So Cal Edison likewise contributed to the educational atmosphere.

Clif Miller helped with entertainment and sound, and a local dance studio, Huggy Bear Productions, performed to the wide applause of the crowd. The Sea Birds Vegetarian Food Truck offered available meals for purchase. Additionally, a raffle was held with many prizes donated by the local businesses and organizations.

Special recognition is deserved for the dedicated efforts of the Tustin Chamber of Commerce, the Members of the Expo Planning Committee, the hard working Expo volunteers, and the staff of I-5 Self Storage for working together to throw a memorable and enriching community event.

I-5 Self Storage Joins Forces with OC Gourmet Food Trucks to Benefit Laura’s House Local Charity

I-5 Self Storage proudly thanks all of the community members and dedicated “Foodies” and Food Trucks that came together to support Laura’s House Charity by joining together at a recent Orange County Food Truck Faire. “What better way to support the community by sharing a delicious meal with friends and neighbors from your favorite local food trucks,” asked Owner Randy Scott Wong, “Participants had such a great time sharing their opinions and unique gourmet creations with one another.”

A portion of the proceeds from the day’s sales was presented to Laura’s House from each of the food trucks which included, local legends: Dos Chinos, Rolling Sushi Van, The Flip Truck, Komodo, Mun-chee 5, Slap Fish, Oh for sweetsake, Baconmania, Longboards, Dogzilla, The OCFoodTruck, Kona Ice, and the Chomp Chomp Truck. Additionally, prime Loge tickets for Dodger’s Games including VIP Parking Pass were raffled off by I-5 Self Storage staff members, with 100% of the proceeds donated to Laura’s House.

CEO/Executive Director of Laura’s House, Margaret R. Bayston explained, “The contributions support our goal to assist individuals and families gain a sense of empowerment that allows them to attain a life free from violence, a place where they can receive shelter, supportive counseling, education and most of all safety. Laura’s House Emergency Shelter Programs provides clinical services to children which include psychosocial assessments, educational activities, counseling and tutoring.”

In the Spirit of Giving, I-5 Self Storage hosts Holiday Craft Fair benefitting Divine Choices Charity

Tustin, CA – Divine Choices, partnered with I-5 Self Storage, LLC, to host this year’s “Scoop the Season” an Orange County holiday craft fair earlier this winter. The recent event was a smashing success, providing what Divine Choices, co-founder Claire Heath deemed, “a much needed outlet for many in society that are in need of help and understanding”

I-5 Self Storage provided advertising in local media to promote the showcase event, and a diverse array of local vendors participated by offering crafted goods and services to the hundreds of local attendees. Music, delicious food, and a kids bounce house accompanied the festive market atmosphere and provided an opportunity for attendees to fulfill holiday gift lists, as well as enjoy the spirit of the Tustin community.
